The 59th Graduation Ceremony was held at the Chancellor’s Court next to the Central Catering Unit (CCU) on Friday, September 14 2018. Graduands were conferred with various degrees and diplomas at the end of the academic calendar (2017/2018) including undergraduate, masters and doctorate, having qualified for the same.  The event was graced by the University Council, Chancellor, Dr. (Mrs.) Vijoo Rattansi and the Vice-Chancellor. The guest of honour was the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education, Ambassador Amina Mohamed.

 

The College of Education and External Studies (CEES) was among the colleges that had students graduating including Kenya Science Campus which had a total of one hundred and eighteen (118) students qualified to be awarded Bachelor of Education (Science) being 106 and twelve (12) with Bachelor of Education (ICT).

 

The students had hitherto been issued with the appropriate gowns, hood and cap for the graduation ceremony having cleared with the relevant departments and units to be able to be issued with a clearance certificate. Out of the one hundred and eighteen (118) graduands with Bachelor of Education (Science) and Bachelor of Education (ICT) degrees, the following was the grading:

 

Bachelor of Education (Science)

 

First Class                   -           Twelve (12)

Second Class (upper)  -           Seventy Three (73)

Second Class (lower)  -           Twenty One (21)

 

Total                           -           One Hundred and Six (106)

 

Bachelor of Education (ICT)

 

First Class                   -           Two (2)

Second Class (upper)  -           Eight 8)

Second Class (lower)  -           Two (2)

 

Total                           -           Twelve (12)

 

The campus is proud of the performance of the students which goes to reaffirm the commitment of our students to excel having been prepared adequately by the academic staff with the support of the non-academic staff. We wish the students well in their future academic endeavors.
