The course was attended by ninety-one members of staff; among them was the Deputy Principal (College of Education and External Studies - CESS) Prof. Horace Ochanda and the Assistant Registrar Mrs. Grace Mzee. The opening remarks were given by Prof. Ochanda who stressed on the need to sensitize all members of staff on the importance of undergoing such training toequip them on the best way to deal with emergencies in the campus. A few students also attended since most of them had completed their exams and left for leave. The first years present in campus were in for exams. Among the topics discussed were; terrorism by Josphat Bwonya from Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU),HYOGO Framework for action by Cyrus Maina from National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU), Fire Fighting by Sammy Kimanyano from the County fire,among the attendance were:
