Staff and Students at Kenya Science Campus sensitized on security and safety
Kenya Science students and members of staff were trained on various skills in fire safety and counter terrorism. This included practical skills in fire extinguishing and emergency evacuation. A security drill was also carried out including how to identify potential security threats like improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and how to survive a terror attack and responding to an active shooter.
This was a very informative session where staff and students were enlightened and equipped with the life saving skills. The training was organized in partnership between the University of Nairobi, Nairobi City County fire department and the National disaster management unit.
