The Fourth Annual READ ACROSS KENYA WEEK was held at the UoN-Kenya Science

Nursery School 6-10 March 2017. Professor Horace Ochanda, Deputy Principal, UoN-Kenya Science Campus, the Chief Guest, opened the week reading the book MUFARO'S BEAUTFUL DAUGHTERS which was a book about children in Africa.  The purpose of the week is to inculcate reading in children on global themes but utilizing books featuring contextually appropriate characters and events. The children enjoyed so much that they asked Professor to go back and show them the pictures in the story!!


Baba and Mama Ahmet Ali were the readers on Tuesday; Ikamati Onyait, a six year old pupil was the reader on Wednesday; Teacher Jane Nyongai was the reader on Thursday and Teacher Regina Njuguna, EGRIC, was the reader on Friday.


Dr. Mari Nelson, CEES and Teacher Rose Kagwiria were the organizers. Teacher Jane Msemwa and Teacher Esther Nduta were the Team Leaders this year supported by the UoN-Kenya Science Nursery School teaching staff.


The Kenya Science Nursery School children listen keenly to a story as the Deputy Principal reads.
